One of the first questions parents typically ask is “Where are the Best locations” for Dallas senior pictures? There are lots of fun locations from which to choose for your senior session and below are some of my favorites for the variety depending on your high school senior’s personality and interests.
Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
Located in far west Plano, this 200-acre park has creeks, natural stone structures, and tall grasses.
St. Andrew’s
Located in West Plano, this church campus has beautiful grounds with a pond, creek, stairs, and more.
Frisco Central Park
Across from Stonebriar Mall in Frisco, this small interurban park has stone walls, water features, ponds, grasses, and an amphitheater. Lots of great textures, nature landscapes, and settings for portraits.
Prairie Creek Park
Creeks, waterfalls, bridges, and stone in woody areas. Located in Richardson, Texas this is a great place for a nice mixture of outdoor scenic photography.
Dallas Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum is over 60 acres of botanical gardens set off of White Rock Lake. There is an entrance fee but this venue is full of water features, lovely architecture, green lawns and beautiful flowers everywhere. There are seasonal displays that can make a session here especially fun.
Downtown McKinney
Several blocks in the downtown McKinney area dedicated to shopping and dining right by the courthouse is a fabulous location! Downtown Mckinney offers so many different backgrounds and textures.
Downtown Plano
Historic downtown Plano is a great place for a senior session. Located directly across from Haggard Park, you get the best of both urban and natural settings in a short walk around the area.
Shops of Legacy
A great venue with a small interurban park featuring a pond and of course a terrific shopping area, Shops of Legacy makes a great place for senior sessions with lots of variety in a small walking area.
Dallas Arts District
Dallas’ downtown cultural hub is a fun walkabout with great locations for senior pictures! The Meyerson, AT&T Performance Arts Reflection Pool, murals, Klyde Warren Park, Nasher Sculpture Center to name a few. So much fun to be had in this location.
Dallas Pacific Plaza Park
Newly opened Pacific Plaza Park offers so many fun textures, architectural lines, and grasses for using as backdrops for portraits. Definitely a great location to hit for senior pictures.
Bishop Arts District
Nightlife, colorful art, and fashion stores. Lots of textures and interesting scenes to include as great backdrops for senior photos.
Deep Ellum
Located in Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum has super vibrant wall murals by local artists, restaurants, sculptures and that artsy, edgy urban vibe for high school seniors.
Watters Creek
Located in Allen, Texas, this retail and dining area has some great options to walkabout for color, greenery, a pond, and a few fun murals. If your teen likes to shop, this a fun place to go!
There are plenty of places around the Dallas metroplex for taking senior portraits and each is unique, just like your high school senior. Decide what is best for your senior’s personality type, if they prefer outdoor settings with lots of foliage and nature, or if they like more of an urban street vibe. Either way, we’ll have fun and your senior session will definitely be a memorable one.
