Chicago Windy City Qualifier

Chicago Sightseeing

My daughter and I visited Chicago during Holy Week/Easter. I have to say it was really difficult not being together as a family unit for the first time ever on an Easter Sunday. It was also really hard only using one lens all week (my 50mm), but I came away with some of my favorite portraits of my girl. We really did enjoy touring as much of Chi-town as we possibly could within the few days we had available to us.

We saw the Van Gogh exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago; walked to Millenium Park to see the Bean; hit the Big Bus Tour around the city where we met some awesome tour guides; stood in the glass box at Sear’s Tower which I refuse to call Willis Tower; and rode Divy bikes along the lake to Navy Pier in the rain. We ate Chicago Style pizza at the best place ever, Lou Malnati’s which I mistakenly call Luminatis. LOL! We had Italian Beef sandwiches and a famous Chicago Dog which was yummy! We got soaking wet almost every single day, but it was so much fun making memories with my girl.

Below are just a few photos of the girls from the Chicago Windy City Qualifier over the Easter weekend. I only took a few snaps at the games. The girls had fun staying at the same hotel as the Virginia basketball team during the March Madness college basketball playoffs. Enjoyed getting to know you parents more! It seems I’m always working the weekends. 🙂 Hope you like the pics.
