Pet Portraits are Important Too…

Pet portraits are important too. Equally as important as capturing your human loved ones. I lost my sweet tuxedo cat, Chaplin, who was with me for 20 years. He passed away this past December. I went out of my way to make sure that I took many pictures of him because I knew that one…

Chaplin. My Sweet Kitty…

Year after year, Chaplin and I grew up together. We enjoyed our youth together. We became adults together. This year, we celebrated Chaplin’s 20th birthday. I couldn’t believe it because, I remember when he came into my life as though it was yesterday. I know many people who have fur babies, but I’m not sure…

  • That was so very beautiful. I cried without shame. Love you Ang.ReplyCancel

    • There is no shame in loving our fur babies because they are the same as people, just with more hair. I am glad you read his story. It makes me feel good to know that these memories have touched others hearts too. Love you too, Beth. <3ReplyCancel

My heart hurts for you. Twenty years.. half your life. That’s longer than probably half of all marriages last nowdays. Your handsome boy captured my heart from miles away; I loved how he graciously allowed himself to be a part of your yoga experience. I was stunned to find out that he was 20. May we all age with such grace and beauty. Have fun playing with my buddy Bash at the Rainbow Bridge, Chappy; I know you’ll come running when your mama finally joins you and you can cross over together.ReplyCancel

    • Oh. I am just seeing this comment and it made me cry. I received a sweet card from his Vet today and that Rainbow bridge poem. I have felt a bit melancholy these past weeks because he is missing from our family. He is not here to wake us in the mornings or hanging around the kitchen while I cook. I don’t get to pick him up and hug him anymore or feel his soft beautiful coat. Thank you for your comment. It means more to me that you know. <3ReplyCancel

Chaplin’s Story Continues…

I got Chaplin during my junior year in college. I moved shortly after graduating with my B.B.A. and when finally getting on my own two feet, my fur baby joined me. We had our first apartment. Life was new and exciting. I was just starting out and always with strong work ethic, stayed very late…

Chaplin…

I have a beautiful, handsome cat, named Chaplin. Chaplin has been a constant in my life for the past twenty years. I was working my way through college at a local restaurant and a friend of mine gave him to me when his cat had a litter. When Chaplin was three weeks old, my friend…

I read your blog on Chaplin. Thank you for sharing your story and photos. I love the pic of Chaplin in your Dad’s pocket! He will always be with you. Stay strong.ReplyCancel

    • I’m really happy that you did. I just had to tell his story so I could remember. That pic of my dad and Chaplin is one of my all time favorites. He really loved him so. I just found out from my mom that he used to take Chaplin little bowls of milk into our bedroom when I was at school and work. Makes me smile. 🙂ReplyCancel

Sleeping Kitty…(more with light painting)

Another attempt at painting with light. I love it. It’s rich and velvety and looks like I can almost reach in to pick him up. If you haven’t tried painting with light, give it a try. I set my camera up on a tripod, ISO at 160, f9, for a 20 second exposure. I used…
