What to Expect when working with me? My happiness that you’re here! My studio is located in Plano, Texas and serves the Dallas area metroplex.
First of all, you can expect that you are going to love all of the imagery from your session. You can expect me to help guide you through your experience from start to finish. You can expect attentive service. You can expect beautiful portraits. You can expect that you will love your photographs even more as printed artwork than the digital imagery. You can expect that you will cherish your timeless keepsakes for many many years to come. You can expect that your heart will be full and joyful daily as you enjoy it.
How Does a Portrait Session Work?
Our time together generally looks like this:
consultation | set the date | portrait session | order session | artwork | happiness
How to Book a Session
Most people book online. The $100 session fee reserves your appointment. During this process, you will complete a small form that tells me about you, the type of session you are interested in, and a few dates that you have in mind. I will call you within 24 hours to confirm your date.
When we reserve your date, we will have a phone consultation regarding all the details of your session including the best time for your needs, wardrobe, and location. We will talk about hobbies, interests or details that are important in telling your story. We will talk about how you plan to display your beautiful artwork in your home; you are always welcome to schedule a time to visit my home studio to see all the beautiful samples of artwork in person. By the way, you will receive reminder emails and texts about appointments so you don’t forget!
These are some of my favorite locations for portrait sessions:
- Arbor Hills Nature Preserve in Plano, Texas
- Spring Creek Nature Area, in Richardson, Texas
- Prairie Creek Park in Richardson, Texas
- Frisco Central Park in Frisco, Texas
- St. Andrew’s Church in Plano, Texas
- Downtown McKinney, Texas
- Downtown Plano, Texas
- Shops of Legacy, Plano, Texas
- Downtown Arts District, Dallas, Texas
Capturing your portraits at local park settings makes for some gorgeous pictures, but it’s also nice to take portraits in and around your home too.
~One hour Family portrait sessions.
~Two hour Senior portrait sessions.
~30 minute Headshot sessions.
Lighting & Ideal Timing for Portraiture
Early morning just as the sun rises or early evening prior to sunset offer the ideal times for perfect portraiture; however, not everyone is an early bird so the best accommodations will be made for you. I am a PPA Master Photographer and a Certified Professional Photographer and work with a mixture of natural light and strobe lights to create the best imagery for you. No need to worry about anything except getting rest and coordinating your wardrobe.
After the Portrait Session
We schedule your order session as soon as possible after we take your pictures. This takes place at my home studio and lasts up to an hour. At this time you pick your favorite images and receive guidance to choose the best options for your family. I offer a variety of beautiful artwork including canvas and framed wall portraits, tabletop displays, albums, classic luster prints as well as other options for sharing with family and friends.
It’s always an honor to work with you and my hope is to make sure you have fun and receive stylish, unique, and timeless portraits that not only you can be proud of, but that you will cherish for years to come.
