Chimpanzees at the zoo. I went on a school field trip today and saw this momma and baby together in the chimpanzee exhibit. The baby was hanging on to mom while she walked around picking up fruit to eat prior to stopping to rest in this spot where I snapped their portrait. They are so adorable. Have you been to your local zoo lately? Do you even like to go? I use to go often when my children were toddlers but then they all began attending school and the opportunities to visit have been few and far between. Today’s visit was bittersweet. It’s the last zoo field trip I’ll be making with any of my children as they are all growing up; however, I think I’m going to pick up a membership so we can visit this summer, even if the temperature is going to be over 100 degrees. It’s still worth it. The animals are beautiful and the time spent with my kids makes the membership priceless.
